This is My Story — Eleanor Roosevelt

This autobiography  is slightly dry.  Mrs. Roosevelt writes mainly about where she went, whom she saw, what she did, but does not elaborate much or at all.  While she hints at how exciting her life is everything she goes on about is very mundane.  Hardly are there any anecdotes to supplement  her day to day doings.

She writes from the time she was young, to when she married Franklin (when she does have a nice story about having Uncle Ted-President Theodore Roosevelt- at the wedding), to eventually just after Franklin’s illness and paralysis.

While I hold her in high esteem, because of everything she had to go through I find that even if she tried it would have been hard for her to be a prolific writer.
